[RESOLVED] How to use access token for updates

I am calling a bubble api to create a user during the signup process. For thr response event, I am capturing the token in a device variable called access_token. Now I want to call an update api (bubble). Instead of passing the user information and search for the user on bubble to update, can I pass the access token to the api so that bubble finds the corresponding record to update.

Hello @ssksubash,

You will pass the token to validate the request but you’ll also pass a parameter for the user like it’s id or email, etc for which to look for. The access_token is your backends means of validating the request is coming from the person sending the request… not as a means of locating the user that stores it. Think of the id being the address and the token being the password you tell the doorman.

Thank you. This helps
